Did you finish the title in your mind?
Man of the house?
Man of distinction?
Man of the hour?
Man o' War?
How about
Man of La Mancha?
In high school I had the opportunity to see
The Man of La Mancha off Broadway.
I loved it.
I loved the story.
I loved the music.
To this day you can sometimes hear me singing tunes from the show.
My BFF and I once entered a dress-up class as
Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.
We sang "The Man of La Mancha" duet
as we walked and trotted around the arena.
Seeing this picture...
Buck, sitting tall on his big, stately steed
and
Isaac on the little gray Mustang
I was wondering where that sound was coming from!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Man O War, not even sure why. I know he is a horse, but not too much else about him.
I am Don Quixote, the Man of La Mancha... yep- that is what I thought (The sound doesn't work because it isn't licensed in Canada, I used to have a playlist until they enforced that)
ReplyDeleteNope, I have to tell ya that The Man of La Mancha was not my first thought.
ReplyDeleteMine was Man of Honor...go figure!
Love the music darlin'!!!
God bless and have an awesome day!!! :o)
My thought was Man of My Dreams! Hopelessly romantic.
ReplyDeleteI saw MAN OF LA MANCHA at the Playhouse in Dupont Hotel in Wilington, DE in 1968 or 1969. Jose Ferrer played the lead role and the show was my first that was not high school or local productions. What a treat! A couple of months later I saw HAIR in the same theater. IMHO, MAN OF LA MANCHA was much better.
