Tuesday's Treasure

From my earliest years I remember having this wrought iron candle holder on the wall in our dining room. I was a picky eater and my mother would insist that I eat, or at least taste, everything on my plate. Green things were evil. I would lose myself under the pressure and 'commune' with the deer.

I found the scene, crafted in hard wrought iron, to be amazingly peaceful and soft.

I believe that the piece came from Sweden, from my mother's side of the family.
I suspect my mom considered it to be a treasure, too.
I am glad to have the happy deer in my dining room now.

  2. I love your memories of it from the table- at least it didn't bring back memories of having to eat your veggies!

OMG were your sons too cute! I love Rhett and Scarlett! Wyatt went with his gal pal this year too!

Your story of the yarn pumpkin made me laugh outloud!
