Parker? or... Parker?

While visiting in Arizona friends I met would ask where I live when I'm not on my motorhome. When I'd respond, many of them would give me a knowing nod. But, then they realized I said Colorado, not Arizona.
I began to wonder about Parker, AZ, and then we drove through the little town on the banks of the Colorado River... in Arizona, not in Colorado.
