Pssst! Over Here!

Pssst! Lady. Over here!

Can Tucker come out to play with me?

We love visiting with our neighbor's mini, Little Tyke, and his cute pasture mate, a very sweet mare who, before she was rescued, was clobbered with a baseball bat that broke her cheek.  Tucker loves Little Tyke and will break all the rules to go visit and play with him. Every morning as we head to the barn, Tucker will sneak a look at Little Tyke's pasture to see if he is out, and whether it is worth trying to make a break for it to go play!

It is very embarrassing to try to catch Tucker when he escapes to play with the mini. Our dog trainer says I have to be more interesting than whatever it is Tucker is involved with. Well, heck! Just how can I compete with a mini?!

  1. Cute! It would be hard to compete with a mini... it must be the name. We had a dog named Tucker and he also loved to play with horses. :)

  2. Sorry to laugh, but good luck with that - that's a cute mini! Awww Tucker found a friend, close to his size. Cute pics. Sweet pasture mate. How anyone could beat an animal with a bat is beyond me. Glad she's in a better place.

  4. Little Tyke is adorable, and, blessings on your neighbor for rescuing that sweet mare. I just can't imagine how anyone could do something like that.

But, all's well now and the sweet mare has a cute playmate and Tucker too!

Dreaming, I'm glad you have wonderful, big-hearted neighbors. What a terrible thing to happen to that mare.

  13. There is nothing like to draw of a mini.

I use to raise them and still miss them very much.

  15. Oh how cute!! The mini is precious. What a horrible story about the horse and the bat. Some people are horribly cruel. Thank goodness she lives there now :) Thanks for sharing with FFF!

  16. Adorable! Friendships across the species! LIttle Tyke is so cute!

The mare is beautiful. What a shame someone could abuse her so viciously like that. Horrible!

  19. Oh how cute. Both Tucker and the mini. And you taught me something. I guess I always thought of rescues as dogs and cats, never horses, or other animals. I suppose if someone is mean, they're just mean to everything aren't they? So glad there are people out there to rescue animals. I rescued two this year and I'm waiting on them to tire out so I can go back to bed! I wanted to sleep in today but they never let me.

What is Four?

Have you ever thought of the meaning of "four"?  Four is the number of: seasons in a year. corners and sides to a square. virtues....
