We lost Mama Boots today.
Sad day.
Mr. Dreamy found her curled up beyond a tree in the back yard.
I suspect it was not a peaceful, curl up in the sun
and slip into eternal sleep type of death.
I think she may have been run over by a freight train...
Tucker (the rather over-sized Aussie) doesn't mean to be rough...
... he's very loving.
But, he is very big...
and very enthusiastic...
... and he loved playing with Mama Boots.
... and he loved playing with Mama Boots.
I think he may have tackled Mama Boots on the fly.
I am thankful.
It looks like she died instantly.
She didn't suffer.
But, I will miss her,
and our conversations.
RIP, sweet kitty.
I am sure sorry. I know how that feels. It always makes me feel better to know my friends were well cared for and knew they were valued.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind thoughts.
DeleteOh I am so sorry Dreaming...I am sure Tucker meant well. Poor kitty:(
ReplyDeleteA sad day for all of you. So sorry.
ReplyDeleteYes... a sad day. Hard to shake it
DeleteIt always seems to be a worse loss when there is no time to prepare for it. So very sad Mama Boots has left without that final chance for conversation and a hug goodbye.
ReplyDeleteI gave her some pats... I hope she felt the love. But, on the plus side, I don't think she suffered.
DeleteI'm sorry! Mama Boots looks just like one of our favorite kitties!
ReplyDeleteShe was the best cat we've had! She was also the longest lived cat we've had out here where the coyotes roam. I felt so awful that she managed to escape coyotes and fox, and my dumb dog did her in!
DeleteSad day. Poor Mama Boots :( Poor Tucker, too. He'll miss his play buddy. Hugs all around.
ReplyDeleteI think Tucker does miss her. He trots down to the barn and looks in some of her usual haunts.
DeletePoor Mama Boots.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm sad. But, I think it was very fast and painless. At least it wasn't a coyote or fox!
DeleteSo sorry to hear about Mama Boots!
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss. :-(
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry :(
