Don't you love having one of 'those' days....
the good kind?
The type of day that truly brings a smile to your face?
The type of day that makes you sing a happy song?
And one that lightens your step?
That's what yesterday was for me.
All week I had been looking forward to Saturday.
I was invited to a Blogger Brunch at
and Once Upon an Equine was going to come, too.
Imagine my surprise and delight when
Terry suggested that we go for a drive after brunch!
A horse-carriage sort of drive!
Husband David brought Boomer from the barn
and harnessed him.
Terry led Boomer to the surrey.
What?
Oh, you want me to stop taking pictures and help?
After getting Boomer hitched we were
headed down the road.
Oh, I wish I had taken video so you could
hear the wonderful cadence of Boomer's
clip-clop-trot!
David handed the reins to me
and Terry insisted that I drive us home.
Boomer is looking back to see
just who is handling the reins!!
It was a wonderful day.
Fine friends.
Fine food (you'll have to take my word on that!)
and fine fun!
