Life is a highway.... I am living a dream as I travel and explore our world. What will I find around the next corner?

Darn Tough
I love wool socks. But, I wear holes in them.
Very quickly.
Lucky for me, Darn Tough stands behind their product.
And they live up to their lifetime guarantee.
Hooray for a company with integrity!
It's wonderful to buy American.
It's wonderful to buy American.
This is my new pair of socks.
The socks were sent to me as a replacement
for the holy hole-y socks I sent to them.
How's that for customer service?!
Thank you, Darn Tough!

April Showers Bring...
Saturday afternoon was just beautiful. I went out to weed, and transplant a few perennials, and was hijacked by a dwarf iris. My only purple iris (at least for now... stay tuned for an iris post later this spring!) was blooming.
It was lovely.
I took a few pictures of it, and Mr. Dreamy came out to take a few more pictures. I took pictures of a few tulips and daffodils.
They were all lovely.
I decided that I wanted to draw the iris, since that is one of the flowers that we drew in a recent online art class I've been taking. I've drawn iris from pictures, but never "in person". So, I gathered my paper and pencil and plopped myself down on the edge of the garden and began to sketch. Mr. Dreamy came out with my bag of colored pencils. I colored.
It was a lovely afternoon.
Yup, the weeds will just have to wait!

Not Dreaming
I wish I was dreaming right now.
I wish the horrendous head cold that I seem to have acquired...
was only a figment of my imagination.
But no.
I am stuffed up.
I am dripping.
I am hacking.
My teeth hurt. My eyes ache. I can't breathe.
I am miserable.
I am anxious to have some energy.
I don't particularly care for air travel:
Being cooped up with strangers....
And germs.
I've flown three times this year.
I have come away with souvenir colds on two of those occasions.
Ugh!
Yuck!
Next time I'm gonna wear a face mask.
I don't care how silly I look.
Better yet....
I'll be the lady in the bubble!
Maybe they'll even give me priority seating.
Nah....
Heck... they wouldn't even give us peanuts!

The Bus is Back
We returned home yesterday. After numerous trips back and forth between the motorhome and the house, the house is a wreck. I have piles everywhere. Clothes. Laundry. Groceries. Art stuff. Dog stuff. Cleaning stuff. I don't think you need a picture to understand what it is like!
This winter's trip was a bit complicated. Last fall, we Dreamers went on a fabulous trip along the west coast. Knowing that the motorhome needed some work that could best be accomplished at the factory service center in Red Bay, Al, we Dreamers left the motorhome in Albuquerque, NM at the end of October, and traveled by car to our home in Colorado. Mr. Dreamy spent a day running around like a crazy guy getting all kinds of chores accomplished, then went back to Albuquerque. He motored on to Red Bay, AL, and then enjoyed Thanksgiving with his family near Jacksonville, FL. He left the motorhome there, at a dealer for more work (What??? Didn't I just say it left the factory service center?! Long story that no one wants to hear!) Mr. Dreamy drove home in the car, enjoying 28 days over the holidays, and then we drove back to reconnect with our rolling home in Florida.

We spent most of January in Florida, then made our way to Arizona, after stopping to visit with friends in Texas... and now... home!
Tucker seemed to become aware we were nearing home as we drove through town, about 3 miles from our house. As we pulled into the gates, he jumped off his bed and came up to the front of the motorhome to take a good look. He knew exactly where he was!
Well, I really need to get back to the piles, shift a load from the washer to the dryer, and get lunch. I'll be posting more about our trip over the next few days weeks months!
Happy Spring - the snowbirds have returned!

Looking Back
While visiting friends near San Antonio, we were treated to a trip to Luckenbach. Yes, the Luckenbach brought to fame by Waylon Jennings, with help from Willie.
I expected a bit more, for a place so
We brought the population up to 9. With the 7 folks in the bar,
Luchenbach's population swelled to 16. Huge!
Carlos, Donna, Mr. Dreamy, Jeanne & Luis
in front of one of about 5 buildings in town.
