You know it is Autumn long before the leaves turn our forests into glorious Jackson Pollack canvases.
All you have to do is sniff....the sweet smell of pumpkin spice is everywhere. It heralds the season.
Even here:
The store evidently sold out of the Mr. Clean Spiced Harvest scent.
There were no more bottles in the end cap display, nor on the shelf.
I mean, I love the scent.
I love my spiced pumpkin coffee creamer.
I love pumpkin spice muffins, or cake, or doughnuts.
But cleaner?
Seriously?!
I can't go into any craft stores until January now. Both the pumpkin stuff and the cinnamon stuff that starts in December give me instant headaches. I know there are others out there like me, too bad stores can't put the stinky stuff either waaaay in the back or outdoors so it doesn't make the store stink.
ReplyDeleteOh, I totally understand! My hubby can't go in candle shops - as we walk near them he begins sneezing and his eyes run. I enjoy a scented candle, now and then, but just can't do it!
DeleteI get headaches and get all stuffed up with the scents of Fall and Christmas in the stores. I like to use either bvinegar to clean or ammonia or i make my own concoction of Dawn, Lemon Juice, water and vinegar.
ReplyDeleteYou are a smart woman! I think the cinnamon odor I used top encounter at Joanns was the worst! I swear I could smell it in the parking lot!
DeleteEw, I don't think I'd like a pumpkin spiced cleaner. I can barely tolerate the pumpkin spice everything else. Like the others, these scents initiate a headache. I think it's the overly chemical composition of the scents that does it for me.
