The toilet paper thing used to chap my rearend when my dogs were pups. I was lucky with shoes I've only had one dog get after them and after one dystroyed pair they got locked up. She grew out of it though.

Your boys are so lucky. We don't have stalls - just a windbreak/lean to that gives them some cover from the worst of the weather.
