It's winter. My representational snow flake "barn quilt" is on display. When I took a picture, the camera thought it was a QR code! Funny!
As we are in central Florida we do experience some colder temperatures than when we lived near Ft Myers. But, on average there's only about a five degree difference. Later this week we are forecast to have a low of 27 one night, and the rest of the week our lows will hover in the mid 30's.
We have nothing to complain about.
The weather was a tad bit different!
What a pretty barn quilt!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Last year I made 4 different barn quilts....then my sewing machines became available and I started working with fabric and threads! No more barn quilts!
DeleteHow did you make the barn quilts? Love your snowflake!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I make the quilts with 30" sq canvases that I buy at Hobby Lobby. I put at least one layer of gesso on it. Then, I use tape to outline each color I want to paint. I use acrylic paints. When I have all colors finished I use spray clear acrylic to seal the canvas. Since mine are hung in an area that doesn't get too much weather, and since I change them out periodically so they aren't out for months on end, they seem to have stood up to the rigors.
