I have been watching a neighbor decorate for Christmas. I almost wonder if they bought/built on a large lot to accommodate their decorations! They moved in after we did, and other than stopping as we drove by to say, "Hi" we haven't really met them.
The weather was beautiful last night and I hadn't done anything all day. I decided to walk down to their house to see the light show. They are almost 1/2 mile from us...so there and back...and actually going a bit beyond, makes for an OK walk.
The lights on the skaters make them look like they are moving.
In daylight you can see several pairs of ice skates hanging next to the 'rink'
The lights in this display also add motion.

What fun to see such an elaborate display right around the corner from me.
Taking a walk in the evening is much more fun when there are pretty lights to see!
That's a lot of decoration. I have never done any kind of elaborate outside decorating.

ReplyDeleteI think it would be safe to say they love Christmas! After I took the pictures I finally met the woman and she took me into her home. OMG!!! Every room (including the living room of an antique doll house) had gorgeous decorations
DeleteSome people go all out decorating. I do a little but not much. We haven't hung up lights this year outside, just did a couple of pots, with lights in them. Thanks for popping by my blog.
