We have a small front porch. It's perfect for the two of us. On occasion we sit out there with a cup of coffee, or later in the day, a glass of wine.
It 's very quiet. There's little action. Occasionally a neighbor will jog by - too far away to engage in a chat. A few cars go by. Sometimes someone pedals by. Garbage trucks from three companies come by on three different days - what's with that?!
We do enjoy the quiet...
but you are welcome anytime.
We'll pour another cuppa...
or a glass.
We have a smidge of fall color, if you hunt for it.
My Hibiscus, above,
and leaves nearing their end,
being shown up by Live Oaks all around.
Happy fall, y'all!
A front porch what fun and a nice place to decorate too!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed front porches at several of our homes, but rarely find the time to sit and relax.
DeleteThat phrase, 'sit a spell' always makes me think of the Clampetts. First time I heard it, I guess. LOL. I love the warty pumpkins. And your place looks so peaceful!
ReplyDeletePeaceful it is!
DeleteI do love a good porch sit. There's something very peaceful about just being.
