Scene Along the Road: Hay There!

I get great satisfaction from watching hay (or alfalfa) being cut, raked and baled as we travel along the highway. Perhaps it is because I live in an arid area where little hay is produced. The satisfaction may be a result of my constant concern about having enough hay for my horses in the past. Perhaps it has to do with 'bundling summer' in nice neat packages to be enjoyed by our animals in the cold, winter months.

  4. Love the smell of fresh cut hay. Even better I like to see it all in the barn ready to feed the cows in the winter. Great photos!
