Through the Wardrobe

I took the dogs for a walk on a cool, rainy, southern day.
We came across the lamppost.
My thoughts turned to the land of Narnia
in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
(and other books by CS Lewis)
One of my favorites to read aloud to students.

Tucker and Gypsy looking for adventure...

Wondering if Mr. Tumnus is over the hill...

"Will you hurry up?"

Is this Aslan's table?

Nope...
... and no Turkish Delight* to eat, either...

So, are we stuck in a land where it is always winter
... and never Christmas?

* Thank you, Allison, for reminding me that Tucker
would want to find some Turkish Delight!

  2. Loved your post, Dreaming! The Witch, the Lion, and the Wardrobe was a favorite of mine to read aloud too! The lamppost was a brilliant launch to the rest of your post ~ the table cracked me up! It's cold and brittlely beautiful in Colorado this morning. I hope you are catching some sunshine today!

  3. But seriously, sometimes its fun to be Jadis LOL Right now we have snow on the ground which is odd for us; normal daytime temps here are suppose to be above freezing (35-45 f) but we are a getting a slow melt, which is so good for the fields!

  4. Love the walk through the woods! It does seem like winter is never ending. . .6 more inches of snow expected tomorrow. Could I at least get some Turkish Delight?

  6. Love the book and have watched all the movies.

At least the snow is not neck deep as it is in some places. Spring is one day closer.
