Pippin's POV: What, Me Worry?!

You betcha!
I'm trying to figure all of this out,
and to be honest, I am worried!
My Mrs. Owner has been
 attaching poles to my harness.
They look kinda like this:

I'm kinda thinking maybe my Mrs. Owner
and the guy who always hangs around her
are planning to move again.
Only this time they have decided not to
hire a moving company.
Ugh. I don't want to drag their stuff
to wherever they may go!
Now, if it were my hay.....

But she seems really happy here.
So, that's probably not it.

The next thought, and this is scary, too,
Is that she and the guy who always
hangs around her are going to sneak
down the hill to the hunt the buffalo
who live in a pasture near here.

I don't want any part in a crime.
If she gets caught, I'm guilty by association.
I would hate to spend the rest of my days in jail.
Being in my paddock is bad enough!

Naw, my Mrs. Owner is a good citizen.
She wouldn't break the law.

The other day Mrs. Owner made me trot
with those poles attached to my harness.
The poles began to bounce.
Boing....boing.....boing.....

I heard a scritch.... scritch.... scritch....
through the sand.
I just knew it was the sound of a
mountain lion running up behind me.

So of course, being a smart horse,
I decided to get away from the lion.
My Mrs. Owner made me stop.
When I looked behind me,
all I saw were the white poles.
Beats me where the
mountain lion went to!

I guess I'll have to do some
more thinking about this.

  1. Hahaha! I am laughing so hard! I love the pic of Pippin with antlers!
Shy says to be careful, because sometimes those draggy things do turn into mountain lions, then right back into poles!

Pippin, I like you better without antlers.

  3. I think you should know they are ribbons, not poles. But we think you have amazing imagination and we find your thoughts more interesting than the real thing. Humans sometimes underestimate our talents and gifts:)

Sounds like abuse to me Pippin. You can come hide at my house iffen you wanna. Mom don't have no poles here (I think). I'll share my bedding with you while you hide out too.

  6. I used the poles on Abbe too. She adjusted to them very well and it was worth doing.
