Week 7: Wednesday What's It?

What's It?

So, do you think you know what it is?
Have you ever used this?
It is very heavy and can cause awful blisters.
But.....
.

.

in this case, the pictured item is not a fence post pounder inner thingy...
what they call, in professional terms, a post driver!

We have found another use for it....

It's a Tucker anchor!!
We can loop his leash through the handle.
He can be near us.
He can move,
but not that far and not that fast!

We were able to let Tucker join us while we worked on fencing this week. Since we had the driver with us, it seemed to be the perfect solution for keeping Tucker around!

  3. I found another device in the yard that previous owners must have used for the same purpose. I never used it though.

  4. Gee, I thought I knew what it was as soon as I saw the picture, but I was wrong! It's a Tucker tether!

  5. Oh, Terry.... I love alliteration - why didn't I think of that?!
Canyon Girl... you are lucky you haven't had to use it. It is a device for torture! The only good thing about using it for its intended purpose is that I can feel my abs getting a workout!!

  6. Funny, Do you think it would work on horses?

  7. I had a bad encounter with a t-post setter. The t-post was old and snapped, sending the setting crashing down onto my toes. They also are very hard to throw. I guess they do make a good dog anchor.

  8. Yep I knew what it was when I saw it...many a t-posts driven on my place in the last 10 years. Never thought to use it as a dog holder though.

  9. Oh yeah, I've used that "device" more times than I want to remember...and pounding many t-posts in our caliche concrete-hard ground, too. gah!

It's nice to know it's got other uses as well. :)
