A View of the World According to Pippin and Doc

If we were in charge of the world
We'd do away with snowstorms,
Paddock gates,
Sealed feed bins, and pesky, playful kittens.

If we were in charge of the world
There'd be lush green pastures,
Acres of open fields, and
Light comfy saddles made of glove leather.

If we were in charge of the world
You wouldn't have horseflies.
You wouldn't have vet visits.
You wouldn't have rocky trails.
Or cold, ouchy bits
You wouldn't even have bits.

If we were in charge of the world
A romp in the pasture would be considered exercise,
All meals would include apples and treats,
And horses who sometimes startle and shy,
And sometimes stomp at flies,
Would still be allowed to be
In charge of the world.

If you were in charge of the world, what would you change?

  1. If I were in charge of the world, everyone would act with honor and integrity. I think we would find that everything else would take care of itself.

  3. I'm with Leah on this one. If I could be in charge I'd want to eliminate something huge, say bigotry and hate.

  4. If I were in charge of the world I would slow the pace down...stop technology from making time pass too quickly. Remember when it took 50 minutes to heat a TV dinner in the oven? I never felt impatient. I found other things to do. Now it seems like 6 minutes to heat a Lean Cuisine in the microwave is an eternity. I think technology is great, but it is very demanding.

  6. If I was in charge of the world, I would make horses the only form of transportation again.

    Cars would simply vanish.

    Gas stations would disappear.

Oil rigs and tragic, wildlife destroying oil leaks would no longer exist.

Greenhouses gases and pollution, and traffic would be virtually nil.

People would speak to one another and not be esconced in their 1 ton metal privacy bubbles as they race down the road.

There would be a slower pace of life and appreciation for nature once again.

    Life would be simpler.

  7. Such interesting desires, should we be in charge of the world!
With all of the steps forward that we make with technology, I think many of us would just as soon go back to the 'good old days' when life was simpler and slower.
